Artist's Comments

In the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (prison, former school) on the upper floors of one of the Blocks.

The walls are lined with the photos and corresponding stories of individuals and families who suffered through the Khmer Rouge regime.

Every story is saddening, but also a common factor amongst every single person in the country at the time.

Here the stories are imparted to the wandering eyes of tourists, paused momentarily to absorb the paragraph that summarises a life experience.

What lucky lives we lead.
