That's as detailed as it gets at the moment.

Being the total geek I am, I have a huge Excel file organised by state/region, with relevant maps, the things I want to do/see & links to info.

Now we just need to get through these exams - less than a fortnight to go - COME ON!

Awww yeah

ok so it's been FOREVER (ie. 8 months) since my last entry - but I have news!

I got another internship for this summer at a huge Investment Bank - and am going to their Hong Kong office in Jan/Feb 2009! Wheeee!

In other news:
- still on shoot hiatus
- running the world (ie. FMAA)
- learnt to ski in NZ - gorrrgeous
- ran off a cliff in NZ (paraglide)
- jumped out of a plane at 12000ft over the Remarkables mountain range in NZ - WOWOWOWOW (skydive...in case u hadn't figured)
- class? what class?

Still HIATUS-ing!

Haven't shot in ages. Put the promo work on hold too.

It's all been uni uni uni + uni society stuff - but exams are now OVER!!!

The past week of 'freedom' has been full of uni society-related stuff (meetings upon meetings every daytime), with all the nights filled with funtimes and other such goodness! My Facebook account is full of PHOTOS from all the mayhem hahaha

OMGOMGOMG MUUUUUSE concert went off! I want to make love to Bellamy's lightning fingers.

*dies all over again*

I've got one more week of freedom before I start my internship at a big bad investment bank. I figure I've still got about 90% of my soul right now, though by the end of the 8-week program I'll probably only have about 20% of it left - so if anyone wants any of my soul, put dibbs in now!

Missing the photography/MUA/stylist/model crowd, hopefully will be off the hiatus come next March!

In the meantime, still got photos from previous shoots to post here and there as they get edited.

Uni exams over = me packing everything I've been desperate to do in to my short 1 week off so far = burning myself out!

Haha I slept for so long today - and I'm still tired as anything (although that's probably BECAUSE I slept so long).

Been shooting heaps, working heaps, going out heaps, and now I'm sick! Eep!

Live Earth was mad - LONG 12 hour promo shift that day (great vibe and lots of $ haha) followed by a night of dancing away to my awesome friend's DJ beats (GO DJ BRESC!) - love seeing him up there spinning away - sure is a change from Law class hehe!

One of the shoots I did this week was an underwater shoot in the bay at Clovelly Beach. It was insane! FREEZING cold water, waves (I thought I would be dashed up against the rocks!), getting all tangled up in my flowing chiffon...but it was so much fun!

Yay for the awesomeness of Laurie Klippel (photog) and Veronika Moreira (MUA)!!!

It was done on an underwater film camera so we had no idea how the shots would turn out - whether they would be murky, blurred, dark, etc

We left the film at a 1-hour photos processing place while we had lunch just so we could see how they turned out - then Laurie could scan the negatives and do the post-work.

They turned out awesome! Can't believe it hehe The whole thing was just so exciting

Hopefully will have some edits to put up soon - wheee

Taken from a photo comment - turned rant on "No Rest"

Tuol Sleng* Genocide Museum - Phnom Penh

The museum itself used to be a school - which was then converted into a prison during the Pol Pot regime.

Thousands upon thousands of civillians were arrested and brought for detainment, torture, and other such horrors before being taken off to the Killing Fields.

This bed is where a body was found tortured and burnt - like many others had been. There were about 6 or so rooms just like this in Block A of the old school, turned prison.

If you look at the walls and ceiling you can still see flecks of blood.

In the other Blocks (B, C & D) you can walk through the old tiny prison cells, and there are displays of torture devices, stories & photographs, as well as mug shots of those about to die.

The Khmer Rouge soldiers were largely illiterate and for the most part merely boys. The authorities therefore took photos of every prisoner instead of merely writing down their details.

There are rows and rows of boards of these photographs. From tiny babies, young children, men and women, and the elderly...

It's horrifying to see the expressions upon their faces - the looks of resignation, shock, ignorance of their fate and sometimes even determination. All these photos were taken before these people were slaughtered in their hundreds.

A highly emotional place - I could hardly bring myself to take any photos of the photo-walls or video footage here.

So I've posted a photo of the bed instead!

I'm Angela, a devoted Sydney-sider and a lover of all things beautiful.

Have always loved photography and the darkroom.

I also just started modelling for various photographers a few weeks ago before I traipsed off to Cambodia.

So I've decided to showcase a few photos from the trip.
